This company is horrible. They did not send my order and sent no updates for well over a week after I placed the order. I needed the items for an event. I called to find out where they items were and the overseas customer service person said they hadn't shipped out yet but that they would ship soon. I told him I couldn't wait and needed to cancel the order and he said it was too late and that I'd just have to return the items for an "egiftcard" once I received them. They do NOT give refunds EVER, but you don't realize that until AFTER you place the order. Please do not shop here and put them out of business before more people get ripped off.
They charged my credit card for an item that they advertised was available but was not. They didn’t notify me it wasn’t available, I had to find that out myself. Still have not heard from them to get my money back. On a second item I had to return because the product was not what they had advertised, they would not refund me, but gave a store credit instead.

This is a horrible company. I too wish I had read the reviews before ordering. It's been a complete nightmare. DO NOT order anything from Dress Barn or any other company owned by Retail Ecommerce Ventures. The lies told to customers by their employees is sickening. Shame on all individuals involved.

I will never order anything from Dressbarn again. Their prices are a little higher for the same quality of clothing that I can get at a lower price from other places. I don't mind paying more if I get good customer service. And that's where Dressbarn fails miserably. Dressbarn charges shipping on all orders plus shipping on returns and only issues store credit - no getting your money back after paying shipping both directions and a higher price on the article of clothing. Plus Dressbarn made sure returning an item wouldn't be easy. I had to create an account to see my order info. Under the order history for my account there was no return portal to be found anywhere. Finding their return policy and how to make a return requires an extensive search only to discover you have to call customer support to get a return label generated - without postage paid, of course. If you threw away the packaging your order came in you're out of luck. Returns must be shipped back in the original packaging within 30 days.
I have never seen a bad return policy than this one. They just mention easy returns to trap customers into buying from their site. They do not give the payment back to your original payment method even after you return the product paying from your pocket. And all their stores in every state are permanently closed. So there is no way we can even return in store. Be prepared to lose your money if anything you order from here isn’t a good fit!!
I would gladly give minus 5 stars to this company.
Nothing fits, I walk on 2 of my dresses, who are too long ( I'm tall, 5'9"), and they don't refund ( only store credit that I'm not interested in).

If I could, I would give Dressbarn.com ZER0 stars. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered 2 dresses on 4/4/21 in a size large in two different colors. I received the same dress in a large and an extra large. They then sent me a small in Hot Pink. I have yet to receive the one I ordered. I asked to speak with management and I have yet to be contacted. I even sent an email requesting a response and to date, I have not received one.
If I could give less than this I would. This company pretty much took my money and won't refund it. The communication is horrible. I tried to make a return at a return bar location but they couldn't find the order and so could not process the return. DB has done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. You can't speak to anyone EVER and have to use email which takes days for them to respond to. I loved DB before the major changes but now they are ruined. I hate the fact that so many companies get away with doing this kind of business. It's horrible. I hate this company and will never shop there again and will make sure I tell as many people I can.... Since that's all I can do anyway.
I am having the same issue. I received a top in which the fabric was thin, cheap and frayed at the seam. I was told I would receive a return label and shipping address, I have not received either one.
Can anyone help me find the return address or other hints?
Beware! This company is a complete scam. They don't provide refunds and do not make this info easily known. And then they never return calls. I can not get through to a manager who apparently is the only person who can help.
I ordered an outfit for a wedding and it came-just too dressy for the occasion-absolutely horrible customer service-will not let me return it-only credit-I will NEVER shop at Dressbarn again and hope this helps others not get messed around by this horrible company
I bought all my clothes at our local Dress Barn. Heartbroken when they closed. Heard company had been bought out. Was leery to order, but, after a year I did order a dress given the online store seemed to carry the same vendors & there are so few local stores left to shop at! I hate buying clothes online...Need to try them on! Anyway, the dress arrived & the fabric looked like the fabric they make Cheap Halloween costumes out of! So ugly! Didn't get to try it on till this week because I was very sick, and hospitalized, the month of April into May. I ordered the size I've always purchased at Dress Barn at present weight, an XL/1X, thinking it might be too big since I'd lost another 13lbs as a result of my prolonged illness. I was beyond SHOCKED to find that the dress was absolutely way too small! It fit more like a medium! So, here I have a dress that looks like a cheap Halloween costume ( It was for a wedding!), it doesn't even fit, AND I CAN"T GET A REFUND ONLY A CREDIT! Like I would want to buy anything else from them...NOT! I have to settle for a credit! YOU GOT ME ONCE, but, YOU WILL NOT GET ME TWICE! So now I'm out just under $70! Returning the rag tomorrow, but God knows what I'll be able to purchase on their horrible site with the credit...Please don't make the same mistake!
